FFR (Air accident) are freer volunteer responders that are trained in providing emergency and rescue operations following air accident that is within reach such as airplane emergency Landing or crash landing, fall from a height and other accidents relating to air and height before landing. This is done using the most effective and appropriate international standard.
According to claim, in Nigeria, from the year 1969 to 2022, a total of 2,038 (1996 on board passengers and 42 on ground) lives have been lost to air crashes.
At 2:22pm Nigerian time in March 2024, A Nigerian Air Force Super Mushshak trainer aircraft was involved in “a minor mishap” but the two pilots on board survived the crash.
The following month, one of Nigeria’s leading airlines, air peace aircraft, APK7193 had 243 passengers and 12 crew members on board, landed safely on Runway18L of the Lagos airport after fire personnel reportedly observed smoke from the engines. The pilots immediately shut down the engines of the aircraft.
On April 23rd, an airplane operated by Dana Airline had veered off the runway at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
